Brazil's campaign ends in tears! They suffered a shock in the semifinal loss to Germany and never managed to recover. Netherlands would love to have had a shot at the trophy but to beat Brazil and finish third will not be too bad a result to take away for the Dutch, and only a part of Van Gaal's busy plan comes to an end as he takes charge of Manchester United from August with a limited players expected to sign for the club. As he walks away from a successful campaign in the World Cup, a hard season awaits him in England. As for the World Cup, the local fans will be torn between long-time rivals Argentina and Brazil -- the team that punctured their side in the semis. For the neutrals however, it will be a thrilling finale.
